4/4 French Violin by Emile Pouzol in Avignon, 1925

Very little is known about the French maker, Pouzol. He was active in Avignon and in Rome and emigrated to America in around 1930.

Thwaites is proud to present this excellent violin which has a two-piece back and is in near mint, condition. The attractive red varnish is well applied and the sound is pure, clear and direct. It is evenly-balanced, plays very well and has been noted by our violin specialist as a particularly good instrument. We highly recommend advanced booking to see this violin. It would make and excellent addition to the advanced student or professional player.
