Student Rental Scheme

Here at Thwaites, we understand that buying an instrument can be a big decision so we provide an alternative for those who are not ready to buy. We offer a large variety of qualities with our rental instruments so we’re sure we can find the right instrument for you.

Below are just some of the reasons why you should choose us: 

• Our rental scheme has been running for over 20 years, not just here in Watford, London and the home counties, but Nationwide.
• All of our rental instruments are carefully set up on our premises where we carry out necessary work including peg adjustments, nut adjustments, fitting of tuning adjusters and in some cases, replacing bridges to get our rentals up to a playable standard.
• All rentals are supplied as outfits with a case, bow and rosin.
• There is no contract-you may rent for as little or as long as you like!
• Your monthly rental fee offers a general level of maintenance which includes the cost of replacements strings, general wear and tear and bow re-hairs. *
• If and when you decide that you do not want to rent anymore, simply give us a call to let us know and return the instrument.
  

 *There is an option for extended maintenance when you begin renting to cover for all accidental damage (with an excess of £35). Extended maintenance starts at £1 per month.

VIOLA - From £7.50 per month-Add £1 for extended maintenance

D/BASS - From £35 per month-Add £2.50 for extended maintenance
