Cake of the Week

This page is dedicated to our other passion - cakes!
We have a fabulous bakery just around the corner which we visit most everyday.
Better still - we are given cakes baked by our customers!

November 2012
A fabulous second mention to Harry Lampert (now 16) for this completely-wonderful coffee-walnut cake.
Extra spinning tomorrow morning!

****SORRY ALL BETS ARE OFF!!!!!!!
Everybody's diets have been well and truly ruined by this AMAZING bass clef chocolate fudge creation made by Lucy James aged 12. Back to the gym tomorrow...

August 2011
Due to all of us trying to get fit and dieting a little we have suspended the cake of the week till further notice!

April 26th 2011
At 2pm today we were given a core blimey carrot cake.
At 3.30pm today there are only a few crumbs left.
This crumbly classy creation was make by Megan Scott Waterhouse.
She will be playing bass at the Vortex downstairs cafe this Wednesday 27th April @ 6.30pm with Alcyona Mick (piano), Paul Clarvis (drums) and Stuart Hall (guitar).
If she plays like she bakes this is surely worth a taster...

****STOP PRESS: The chocolate fudge brownies were actually made by Harry Lampert (aged 15 1/4!). Good job Harry!

**Errata - The chunky chocolate fudge brownies were not in fact made by Jess but were in fact brought in by an (as yet) un-named 14 year old boy... If you have any information as his identity we will credit him correctly.
