This is a fine English instrument by William Forster Junior, London circa 1815. A 3/4 size instrument of violin outline with flat back. The ornate plates have old Baker machines with Ivory or Bone pegs. The bass has a rosette branded or inked in the Front under the varnish just under the fingerboard. It sports the legend:

Westminster"
The instrument has just been fully restored and is in fine playing condition.
