This is a good example of a Hawkes Concert model double bass. These were made mostly in Germany from around 1890 up until the 1930's. Based on the wonderful "Panormo" outline these instruments have been lovingly used by professional musicians for many years.
Whether as a first instrument for a young player just entering the business or as a second or touring instrument they are robust & reliable with a great sound.
This instrument is in good condition having had some restoration, though Front & Back are very clean with no cracks visible.
